TIDY UP! — The Room Is Lava is a cooperative Roblox party game designed to communicate its rule in one screenshot: match colored toys to their bins before the bedroom fills with lava. The world, interface, rounds, toys, and progression are generated from reviewable Luau source and packaged into a standalone Studio place with Rojo.

problem

A family-friendly multiplayer game has to become understandable in seconds, remain fair under latency and bad clients, run on phones as well as computers, and create reasons to replay without turning monetization into an advantage. Those product constraints have to live in the architecture, not just the pitch.

approach

The client renders state and requests actions; the server owns toys, distance checks, bin matching, score, rewards, prices, rate limits, and profile saves. A configurable round state machine drives four modes, hazards, bonus missions, combos, MVPs, daily missions, a season road, upgrades, and cosmetics. Rojo, Selene, sourcemap generation, XML inspection, and an inventory verifier make the package reproducible.

outcome

The game package is feature-complete and locally verified, with responsive keyboard, gamepad, and touch controls plus an upload-ready icon and thumbnail. It has intentionally not been published yet: monetization IDs remain disabled and the documented release plan requires private multi-client validation before public launch.
