Overview
91life is a digital health company building the connective tissue between patients, clinicians, and care plans. I work across the stack - from schema and API design to frontend architecture and pixel-level polish.
Problem
Growing product surface meant inconsistent UI, slow onboarding, and accessibility gaps. Needed a shared foundation engineers could move quickly on without drifting.
Approach
Stood up a lightweight design system on top of Radix primitives and Tailwind tokens. Rebuilt critical flows with server components and progressive enhancement. Added a11y audits and performance budgets to the CI pipeline.
Selected details
- Shared design tokens and component library adopted across 4 surfaces
- Core routes rebuilt with RSC + streaming
- Accessibility audits built into CI
Outcome
Onboarding time for new engineers dropped noticeably; Lighthouse scores moved into the high 90s on core routes; patient flows became measurably faster and more legible.
